Alcoholic Cocktails with Campari

   Campari is a bitter Italian aperitif made according to a secret recipe originally developed in 1860 by Gaspare Campari in Milan. Campari is the result of a unique blend of aromatic herbs mellowed in selected spirit. Campari is often mixed with soda and ice, but it is also consumed without a mixer and used in some cocktails. Regular Campari has an astringent, bittersweet flavor, but a sweet Campari is also available.
 

Alcoholic Cocktails

A Goodnight Kiss
Ingredients:

4 oz Champagne
1 splash Campari
1 cube Sugar
1 drop Angostura bitters
Instructions:
Put one drop of Angostura Bitter on sugar cube and drop in flute. Add champagne and splash of Campari.
Americano
Ingredients:

1 oz. Campari
1 oz. Sweet Vermouth
Fill with cold soda water
Instructions:
Serve in a highball glass and garnish with an orange wheel.
Bahamas Rum Punch
Ingredients:

Pineapple juice
Rum
Malibu rum
Campari
Orange juice
Instructions:
Mix it up varying the ingredients to taste. Balance the Orange and Pineapple, add a little Malibu rum till you can slightly taste the coconut, then enough Campari to redden it and then make up the rest with rum.
Bicicletta
Ingredients:

10 ml Campari
White Wine
Instructions:
Pour campari in a wine glass, and top up with white wine.
 
Bloody Brit
Ingredients:

1 oz Campari
1 oz Gin
Instructions:
Pour together in an old-fashioned glass. Stir as required.
Blue Edisonian
Ingredients:

2 oz Campari
2 oz Brandy
1 oz Lemon juice
Instructions:
Put all ingredients into a shaker filled with cracked ice. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass.
Bohemian
Ingredients:

5/10 Campari
5/10 Pineapple Juice
Instructions:
Put in a mixing glass with some ice cubes. Stir and strain into small tumbler glasses with crushed ice. Decorate with some parts of pineapple and serve with a straw.
Brioni
Ingredients:

1 part Campari
1 part Sweet Vermouth
1 part Dry Vermouth
1 slice Orange
5 parts Club soda
Instructions:
Pour liquor over ice cubes in a Collins glass. Fill with club soda, stir to mix and add orange slice for garnish.
Campari Beer
Ingredients:

1 bottle Lager
1 1/2 cl Campari
Instructions:
Use a 15 oz glass. Add Campari first. Fill with beer.
Saturdays Tall Campari
Ingredients:

60 ml - Campari
30 ml - Smirnoff Citrus Twist Vodka (if not available then regular Vodka should do)
1tbsp - Juice of Freshly Squeezed Lemon
150-175 ml - Schweppes Indian Tonic Water
50 ml - Club Soda
Generous amount of crushed ice
Slice of Lemon for Garnish
Instructions:
Fill quarter of a smart tall cocktail glass (we use the tall Aria) with crushed ice. Add the Campari, Vodka, Lemon juice followed by the Tonic Water & Soda water. Wisk well with a stirrer and drop in the slice of Lemon & hey cheers.
Campari Milkshake
Ingredients:

12 1/2 cl Milk
12 1/2 cl Orange juice
2 cl Campari
3 Ice Cubes
1 slice Orange
Instructions:
Pour cold milk in a pot. Slowly add orange juice. Finally add campari. Stir really well. Put ice cubes in glass and pour in milk-shake. Garnish with slice of orange. Serve with straw.
Campari Orange
Ingredients:

4 cl Campari
Orange juice
Instructions:
Mix over ice in highball glass.
Captain's Table
Ingredients:

2 oz Gin
1/2 oz Campari
1 tsp Grenadine
1 oz Orange juice
4 oz Ginger ale
1 Maraschino cherry
Instructions:
In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, Campari, grenadine, and orange juice. Shake well. Pour into a collins glass almost filled with ice cubes. Top with the ginger ale. Garnish with the cherry.
Champagne Flamingo
Ingredients:

3/4 ounce vodka
3/4 ounce Campari
5 ounces chilled champagne
Instructions:
Shake vodka and Campari with ice. Strain into a champagne flute and top with champage. Garnish with a zest of orange.
ChamPino
Ingredients:

1 ounce Campari
1 1/4 ounce Sweet Vermouth
2 ounces Champagne
Instructions:
Shake campari and sweet vermouth with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass and top with champagne. Garnish with a lemon twist.
Coco's Cocktail
Ingredients:

1 cl Gin
1 cl Campari
1 cl Dry Vermouth
1 slice Lime
Ice cubes
Instructions:
Mix in a shaker and serve with a slice of lime.
Combustible Edison
Ingredients:

2 oz Brandy
1 oz Campari
1 oz fresh Lemon juice
Instructions:
In a shaker full of cracked ice, combine Campari and lemon juice. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Heat brandy in a chaffing dish. When warm, ignite the brandy and pour in a flaming stream into the cocktail glass.
Copper Cocktail
Ingredients:

1 1/2 oz Light rum
1/2 oz Campari
1/2 oz Green Chartreuse
1 splash Angostura bitters
1 wedge Lime
Instructions:
Shake rum, chartreuse, campari, and bitters in ice filled cocktail shaker. Strain into chilled cocktail glass. Sqeeze lime and drop into drink.
Dirty Dick's Downfall
Ingredients:

2 oz Gin
1/2 oz Dry Vermouth
1/2 oz Campari
1 twist of Lemon peel
Instructions:
In a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, vermouth, and Campari. Stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the lemon twist.
Due Campari Cocktail
Ingredients:

3/4 ounce
3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
4 ounces prosecco sparkling wine
Instructions:
Shake campari and lemon juice well over ice in a shaker. Strain into a champagne flute, fill with Prosecco and serve.
Hashi Bashi
Ingredients:

1 1/2 oz Gin
3/4 oz Campari
Schweppes Russchian
Instructions:
Pour gin and campari over a couple of icecubes. Fill up with Russchian.
Italian Sunrise
Ingredients:

1 1/4 oz Vodka
3/4 oz Campari
1/4 oz Limoncello
3/4 oz Orange juice
3/4 oz Sweet and sour
Instructions:
Shake and strain this drink into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon spiral.
Jasmine
Ingredients:

1 1/2 oz Gin
1/4 oz Cointreau
1/4 oz Campari
3/4 oz Lemon juice
Cracked Ice
Instructions:
Stir with cracked ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a twist of lemon peel.
Joy Ride
Ingredients:

1 1/4 oz Absolut Citron
3/4 oz Campari
3 oz Sweet and sour
2 wedges Lemon
1 tblsp Sugar
Soda water
Instructions:
Muddle lemon and sugar in a mixing glass. Add ice, Absolut Citron, Campari and Sweet and Sour. Shake well and dump into a Hurricane glass. Spritz with soda.

Ingredients:

1 oz gin
1/2 oz Cointreau
1/2 oz Campari
1/2 oz dry vermouth
Instructions:
Stir in mixing glass with ice & strain. Serve in a cocktail glass.
Malaria Killer
Ingredients:

4 cl Campari
1/2 bottle indian Tonic water
1 slice Orange
Instructions:
Pour Campari in the glass. Add Indian Tonic Water. Stir with a spoon. Add ice if you want & a slice of Orange.
Massacre
Ingredients:

2 oz Tequila
1/2 oz Campari
4 oz Ginger ale
Instructions:
Combine ingredients in a highball glass of ice. Stir well and serve.

Ingredients:

3 cl Johnnie Walker
2 cl Campari
1 cl Orange juice
Instructions:
Mix this and add orange peel.
Maiori Magic
Ingredients:

2 parts campari
1 part lemon juice
1 part lemon liqueur
Tonic water
Instructions:
Pour Campari, limoncella & lemon juice onto ice in a glass. Stir. Top up with tonic. Decorate with a wedge of lime.
Meiner
Ingredients:

30 ml Gin
Fill with Orange juice
1 slice Orange
20 ml Campari
Instructions:
Pour gin and fill with orange juice, leaving room for the Campari. Stir a little bit. Add a slice of orange, then pour the Campari gently on the slice.
Nalgaa
Ingredients:

2 shots Campari
2 tblsp Cherry liqueur
Fill with 7-Up or Sprite
Ice cubes
Instructions:
Get a glass with 4 ice cubes, pour cherry liqueur into the glass, followed by the Campari. Add 7-Up and serve.
Negroni
Ingredients:

1 part gin
1 part Sweet Vermouth
1 part Campari
Instructions:
Get some Campari and set out some almonds, make some time, and revive L' Apéritif. Do it this week. Do it again next week. Start a trend and build on it. They say what's old is new again. Garnish with an orange twist.
Negroni (Zimbabwe Style)
Ingredients:

1 cl Campari
2 cl Gin
1 cl red Sweet Vermouth (Martini Rosso)
Juice of 1/2 Orange
Instructions:
Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Coat rim of glass with sugar. Pour over plenty of ice.
North Polar
Ingredients:

1 part Gin or Vodka
1 part Cointreau
1 part Campari
Instructions:
Mix and server over ice with a slice of orange.
Novebuche
Ingredients:

5 parts Campari
5 parts Grapefruit juice or orange juice
1 part Gin
Ice cubes
Instructions:
Stir and serve.
Old Pal
Ingredients:

1 ounce rye or bourbon whiskey
3/4 ounce dry vermouth
3/4 ounce Campari
Instructions:
Stir with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
Petticoat Lane
Ingredients:

2 oz Gin
1/2 oz Sweet Vermouth
1/2 oz Campari
1 twist of Lemon peel
Instructions:
In a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, vermouth, and Campari. Stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the lemon twist.
Pink Gin Tonic
Ingredients:

2 oz Gin
5 oz Tonic water
1 splash Campari
1 wedge Lime
Instructions:
Pour the gin and the tonic water into a highball glass almost filled with ice cubes. Stir well. Top with Campari to add more colour and taste. Garnish with the lime wedge.
Red nail
Ingredients:

3 cl Vodka
3 cl Campari
Ice cubes
Instructions:
Mix the vodka and the Campari in a cocktailglass. Put in 4 ordinary icecubes. Let the drink "rest" seven minutes before served.
Rheingold
Ingredients:

5 parts Gin (Gordon's)
3 parts Cointreau
1 part Dry Vermouth (Martini)
1 part Campari
Twist of Orange peel
Instructions:
Stir in a mixing glass. Add a twist of orange.
Romanza
Ingredients:

1 3/4 ounces Campari
1 1/4 ounces Grand Marnier
1 ounce fresh grapefruit juice
1 orange twist, for garnish
Instructions:
Fill a cocktail shaker two-thirds full of ice. Pour in Campari, Grand Marnier and grapefruit juice. Shake for approximately 15 seconds. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and add the garnish.
Rosita
Ingredients:

1 oz Tequila
1/2 oz Dry Vermouth
1/2 oz Sweet Vermouth
1 oz Campari
Instructions:
Stir in old-fashioned glass with cracked ice. Add a twist of lemon peel and serve with short straws.
Sancho Panza
Ingredients:

2 oz cream Sherry
3/4 oz Campari
1 dash Angostura bitters
Instructions:
Stir and serve neat. Add a cherry.
Silverado
Ingredients:

1 1/2 oz Vodka
1 1/2 oz Campari
1 oz Orange juice
Instructions:
Pour ingredients over ice into an old-fashioned glass. Stir and serve.
Sixty Six
Ingredients:

1 part campari
1 part dry vermouth
1 part sherry dry
1 part gin
Instructions:
Simply mix pour into a large glass and add a few drops of lemon juice.
Suicide #1
Ingredients:

2 cl Pernod / Ricard
6 cl Campari
Instructions:
Shake well with lots of ice. Then fill a large (35cl) glass with ice cubes. Strain into glass.
Tampico
Ingredients:

1 oz Cointreau
1 1/2 oz Campari
1 oz Lemon juice
Fill with Tonic water
Instructions:
Pour into glass and fill with tonic wafer. Garnish with an orange slice or peel.
The Miki
Ingredients:

1 part Campari
1 part Soda water
1 part Grapefruit juice
Ice
Instructions:
Put the ice on the glass first and then pour the Campari. The grapefruit juice is next. The soda is the last ingredient to add. Stir only once.
Wedding Anniversary
Ingredients:

3 cl Vodka
3 cl Galliano
1 1/2 cl Campari
12 cl Orange juice
Instructions:
Shake with ice and strain into glass.
